Modrobes hits Edgefest 2009

Rain was the word...and the imposing element of Edgefest 09 because it rained most of the day. Of course, that didn't seem to bother at least 80% of the audience because they seem to be having a good time. This was Modrobes's first event of the summer so we introduced a number of new products to find out what people thought; everyone seemed to really like most of our new styles.These styles will be popping up on or online store in the next week so stay tuned.

This first picture is probably the shot of the event for me. What else says cozy like a fresh Modrobes polarfleece flannel blanket!

I thought I was selling her boyfriend a great rain coat but as soon as he paid she grabbed it and put it on. Now that's a gentlemen in true Canadian fashion!

Well now, who is this cute girl with enough sense to wear boots and still look good with her new Modrobes skirt.

He just might be trying out for the most interesting man in the world contest with his lovely assistant keeping it real. These two are wearing the new Modrobes flannel shirts.

Did Modrobes slay the dragons?

We gathered about 30 people for the taping of CBC's Dragon's Den. We also invited our friends from the Toronto Street Dance Academy to add to the show. I think the CBC people were a little surprised when we showed with what they started calling the "Modrobes Army"! However, all of the people at CBC were so ridiculously nice to us! We definitely made some good tv!

Unfortunately, I am legally NOT allowed to say what happened in the end..though I will say you might be a little shocked when you see what happens! The show will air in the fall and if you want to know when just stay tuned to this site and we'll be sure to tell you.

Modrobes On Dragon's Den!!!!

Join us on May 6th when Steven Sal Debus(me) pitches the Dragons at CBC Studios in downtown Toronto and be part of the Modrobes army that will back me up..literally..you will be on tv!

The pitch is to re-launch Modrobes as a complete Eco sportswear line..made from recycled pop bottles.

Join our facebook group of friends and I will put all the details there. You just have to show up in modrobes and you're in!  It's going to be very exciting!! The maximum amount of people that will fit in the studio is 75 so tell everyone you know. Be part of the re-launch because I am going to make this the best pitch they've ever seen!!!

We just added some new colors to the wide leg lounge pant mix. I should say old colors because we used to carry all of these colors in our stores.
